Aylesbury Urban Areas Sites Appraisal

This background paper has been prepared to inform the preparation of Aylesbury Vale’s Local Development Framework (LDF), in particular the Aylesbury Allocated Sites Development Plan Document (DPD).

The purpose of the study was to identify and consider the potential of development sites within the existing built-up area of Aylesbury and including their most appropriate use or uses. This information will provide an important input to the formulation of policies and proposals for the DPDs.

The sites considered in this paper include those identified in the Aylesbury Vale District Local Plan, other background documents and sites which are currently vacant or underused and may potentially come forward for redevelopment. The appraisal addresses each site individually looking at its location, description and background, and thus commenting on its potential for development.

The appraisal includes an appendix which sets out a more detailed analysis of the potential for each site.
