Youngsters are invited to take part in a wide range of activities

Aylesbury Vale District Council still has places available on its summer playschemes, which are once again packed with activities to keep children and young people entertained during the school holidays.

Youngsters are invited to take part in activities such as arts and crafts, sports and games as well as exciting trips out.

The playschemes run from Monday to Friday at the Jonathan Page Playcentre, St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Infant School and Elmhurst Children’s Centre – all in Aylesbury.

Councillor David Thompson, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “The playschemes are an excellent way to get children involved in fun and learning activities during the school holidays. There will be something to suit all ages, tastes and abilities in what promises to be another action-packed summer.”

Other activities in the Vale this summer include special free play days on village recreation grounds, week-long workshops in theatre and dance, and multi-activity camps where youngsters can take part in a range of sport and arts activities.

Details of all the summer holiday activities can be found in the Do-it brochure which is available on the council’s website or by telephoning 01296 585210 or emailing leisureservices@aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk
