We recognise that even when you own your own home, difficulties arise which mean you may need our help or advice. In regard to our Housing Register, ‘owner-occupier’ is a general term that we use if:

• You are the owner or joint owner of a property.
• You owned, or jointly owned, a property in the past.
• You are not a joint owner, but your spouse or former spouse owns your present or former marital home.
• You live or have been living with another person as man or wife, and that person owns the family home.
• You are a shared owner of a property.
