Heating and lighting our homes and using appliances, causes pollution that adds to the problem of climate change (global warming). This pollution results from the processes of generating and providing the gas, electricity, coal that we use. Improving the energy efficiency of our homes means we will use less energy to do the same activity and so reduce the amount of pollution generated.
