The Government sets fees for processing license applications - not AVDC.
Major application fees are on a sliding scale, based on the premise’s non-domestic rateable value.
Minor applications have set fees.
No fee is payable if the application is for a community hall/church hall or similar, school or college and the application is for regulated entertainment only. (To qualify for the fee exemption in schools and colleges the entertainment must be carried out by the school or college -- for and on behalf of the purposes of the school or college).
Cheques for all applications should be made payable to Aylesbury Vale District Council.
This is a summary only. Applicants should check the regulations -The Licensing Act 2003 (Fees) Regulations 2005 (SI 79 2005) for a full explanation of definitions, exemptions etc. before calculating the fee due. Follow the external link below to view the fee structure on the DCMS web site.
