Aims and objectives
‘To make Aylesbury town centre a pleasant and safe place for people to live, work and visit’ by:
- provide a safe environment
- balance the different needs of all stakeholders, e.g. residents, businesses and visitors
- provide a variety of free events for all to enjoy
- increase economic benefit to the town’s businesses
- attract and retain visitors who have a wider than ever choice as to where to shop
- provide a vibrant and exciting town centre
- identify the need for, produce and monitor promotional literature
- co-ordinate events held in the town centre
- market Aylesbury as a destination open 7 days a week throughout the year
Activities of the Town Centre Partnership

Producing and implementing an annual action plan
- Chairing the ‘Corporate Events and Marketing Group’ a group comprising of private/public sector representatives.
- Producing bi-monthly newsletters about things going on in the town
- Promoting the Aylesbury Retail Against Crime Initiative (ARAC) in partnership with the Police and local retailers
- Organising a range of events to increase the numbers of visitors to the town
- Organising decorative hanging baskets during the summer months
- Keeping the town centre shopping guide up to date
- Offering sponsorship opportunities for Christmas decorations
